This is not the first time (and it won't be the last!) I see a famous label 'being inspired' by one of my designs. And this is not flattery at all. I am a small and independent deisgner, I do ALL by myself from deisgn to creation, I put all my passion, my time and energy into my designs always trying to create something new and unique. There is a huge difference between beading a "lucite cubes" bracelet (even a 4 y.o.  girl could do that...you can find lucite cubes everywhere and beside being extra-cheap!) and invent a CONCEPT behind a design: this is what I try to do each time I deisgn a new collection and what I did in 2004 when I designed my very first Swarovski Pavé necklace. It was 2004 and in 2008 someone did a Crystal Pavé too, calling it "a new classic"...new?! In Spring 2008 I designed this 'Vintage Flowers Collage" necklace, it has been featured around the net in many fashion blogs because it was NEW. And now, guess what? In Fall 2009 someone did the same Vintage Flowers Collage! Is that a coincidence? Maybe. If it is, I should be flattered: once someone said "Big minds have the same thoughts"; it could be so, but at the moment I only feel like Lara Bohinc (designer)

"I feel it is a way for big cash rich companies to bully smaller labels. They bank on us getting scared. Why? Because they think they can get away with it and because they will have made enough money by the time you decide to sue them anyway.
Every time I see a copy of a design of mine I feel no flattery. That is the luxury of big design houses with full bank accounts. I feel robbed, I feel angry and I feel like fighting.
It is tiring, it is frustrating, it is a no-win situation. I could do this every day.
"

quote by Lara Bohinc (jewelry designer)

I do all my efforts to be different, that's why I finally decided to give up making and selling what was 'already seen' stuff, no more Lucite cubes, no more cheap and easy stuff you can find everywhere. My goal is not to be a "cheap" alternative to expensive designs! I believe women deserve to own and wear exclusive and polished designs, quality at a good price point. And I will never give up making what I define my "first love", my first creation, the one I love most of all, the one who became MAYLILY Trademark: the Original Swarovski Pavé.
Many new pieces to come, you will see a brand new Fall/Winter collection...all refined and polished designs and some special "couture" and  OOAK pieces. Stay tuned!
